THE LEGACY OF JACQUES REBOUL AND WHAT MAKES THE WATCH

Jacques Reboul was one of the most intriguing and intelligent persons I have had the pleasure of ever meeting.

A passionate Parisian with homes both in Paris and Valbonne, France where I became a regular guest.

A profound and boundless friendship emerged between us. We worked extremely hard and traveled the world together, sharing a common vision of business and life itself. I have always been thrilled with design, going way back to when I created my first suit, a French-inspired piece, timeless and cool-looking.

Jacques and I always planned to build a business together, we were eagerly waiting for the right opportunity coming our way. Unfortunately, he suddenly got seriously ill and spent numerous months in hospitals. I will always remember, visiting him in that ancient hospital in the south of France, one of the best according to Jacques himself, being surprised to find him in a room resembling an office with papers and laptops far and wide rather than being a hospital bedroom - Jacques continued to work to the end.

Jacques got better - so we thought. To this day I think he planned even his last days in life, he was allowed to leave the hospital for the weekend to spend with his beautiful wife in Paris. He enjoyed a fabulous dinner, served with a bottle of Bourgogne wine, his favorite. He passed away that night to be tremendously missed. I have missed him every day since.

Jacques was passionate about his Italian cars and numerous watches - what better could I do to honor his legacy, then to design a beautiful watch in his chic and elegant style.
